Dakine weaving creates handmade coconut crafts, and has been providing the community with traditional hawaiian weaving for over a year. We offer one of a kind locally crafted hats, baskets, children toys, and so much more. The tradition of Hawaiian weaving was passed down through the generations, and is preserved in our maui crafts, made with aloha.

Star Rathje
Raised on the islands, Star grew up in the beautiful paradise of Kauai's north shore. Relocating to maui at the age of 15, where he learned the traditional art of weaving. Star then started his local coconut crafting business, providing quality hand crafted baskets, hats, children's toys, and more.
Coconut weaving was an integral part of daily life in ancient Hawaii. Woven with love and aloha, the tradition of weaving coconut has been passed on through generations. The coconut leaves were woven into baskets, hats, and so much more.
